What is IPR and how does it work?

Interproximal reduction is a way to create space between your teeth before aligners

IPR, or Interproximal reduction, is a common technique used by many orthodontists as a pre-treatment technique for patients before starting aligner treatment. It consists of mild interdental polishing to create the necessary space for the teeth to position themselves correctly in the dental arch.

This allows your teeth to assume their new position as the aligners work to align and straighten them from the position they're in. You can read more about the IPR procedure over on our blog.
